Orthodontics

Girl and DentistChildren can develop a number of bite problems during their growing years and treatment which addresses these is called interceptive orthodontics, as compared with conventional orthodontics which is the realm of "braces" and is generally timed during the teenage years.

Our practice is able to diagnose, treat and prevent, where possible, potential orthodontic problems during the growing years using removable appliances (plates), and limited fixed appliances (braces) such as space maintainers or space regainers.

An orthodontic problem may be something as simple as one tooth out of alignment, to jaw or facial problems. We will refer your child to an appropriate specialist in the event treatment is more complex or deserving of more specialised orthodontic treatment.
